Smoothie Bowls

Smoothie Bowls

Smoothie bowls have recently been my go to summer breakfast. They’ve been such a huge trend but tend to cost a lot. So here’s my favorite recipe that’s super easy to make!

-2 heaping cups frozen fruit

-1 fresh or frozen ripe banana

-1/2 cup coconut water or almond milk

(toppings are optional and the amount depends on your liking)

-Unsweetened coconut chips

-Gogi berries

-Unsweetened cacao nibs

-Chia seeds

This recipe is super easy to tailor to your likings and SO yummy! Also…the smoothie doesn’t always have to be in a bowl. I’ve put it in a coconut half as well as a pineapple. So get creative with it and make it your own!

Be You

Be You

BE YOU…because there’s only one you.

I wanted to sit down and write a short post about being you…so here it is! I’ve recently come to the realization that I spend far to much time worrying about the likes I get on social media, if I’ll be loved and accepted by others, and what everyone thinks of me. I constantly look to others to show me my worth and identity. Seriously…WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. Spending time trying to fit in the world’s standard of who you should be is simply stupid. BE YOU, knowing that you are loved and accepted for who you are. No one else can be you, so let’s just be who we really are.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. -Romans 12:2

Beginning my Blog

Beginning my Blog

Hello! Because this is my very first blog post (yay!!!), I thought I’d share a little bit about myself..

I’m originally a big city Texas girl, but I now live on a small farm in Franklin, Tennessee. A day doesn’t go by where I can survive without a lot Jesus in my life and a bit of creativity. Whether it’s trying a new recipe, testing out a Pinterest DIY, snagging my camera for a quick picture, or as simple as rearranging my room, I LOVE LOVE LOVE being creative. I’m a rising freshman ready to take on ANY and EVERY challenge high school has awaiting me, but in order to do that, I’m trying my best to give myself FREEDOM to be myself to the fullest. I want to do more of what I love and less of trying to be like everyone else. With that said, my ultimate goal for this blog is to share my creativity and any words God puts on my heart. I can’t wait to see where this blog goes!
