Scripture and the Real World

A few days ago, a friend of mine sent me scripture that correlated perfectly to my life as a teenager and great reminders for school. I loved it so much that I searched for some great verses that backed up some important things to keep in mind heading into a new school year…

Love everyone no matter what. Something I’ve started to work on in myself is loving others even if they’re not in my friend group, if they’re that odd person, or not like me whatsoever. No matter the case, love them. I Corinthians 16:14- Do everything in love.

Be still. I’ve written a blog post related to this one, but I love it so why not throw it in here! School can be so chaotic, stressful, and filled with drama. Let the Lord carry your burdens and troubles. Make time to be still before the Lord and ask him for what you need help with for the day. Psalm 37:7- Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.

You are forever loved. If there’s ever a day where you feel alone, left out, unloved, or uncared for… read this verse. It’s truly incredible. Romans 8:38-39- For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Go rock this school year y’all!! I wrote these reminders for me to stick to this year too, not out of a mindset of “I’m so perfect.” I so needed these and hoped they lifted your day. Thank you so much for the sweet dms I get and every one of you that reads my blog. Thanks for being on this journey with me!

Love, Laura Finley Hasenbank
